Pero, como veremos a continuaci\u00f3n, al abrir esta tapa se revela un peque\u00f1o compartimento ingeniosamente dise\u00f1ado que tambi\u00e9n alberga la memoria y los dispositivos de almacenamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>RAM y almacenamiento: la libertad de actualizaci\u00f3n lleg\u00f3 a su fin gracias a la \u201cmemoria unificada\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>    La importancia de la RAM y el almacenamiento actualizables es innegable. En 2006, 512 MB de RAM y unidades de 80 GB eran comunes; hoy, los SSD de 16 GB y 1 TB son comunes. La modularidad permite a los usuarios seguir el ritmo: una vez actualic\u00e9 una MacBook Pro de 4 GB a 8 GB, le cambi\u00e9 un SSD y vi c\u00f3mo los tiempos de arranque se desplomaban de m\u00e1s de un minuto a menos de 30 segundos. Si conserva su ordenador durante una d\u00e9cada mientras los est\u00e1ndares evolucionan de Wi-Fi 5 a Wi-Fi 7, estar\u00e1 atrapado en la versi\u00f3n original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>La mayor iron\u00eda<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>   La iron\u00eda m\u00e1s cruel: las laptops de Apple podr\u00edan ser las m\u00e1s duraderas. El hardware es confiable, el soporte de software es l\u00edder en la industria: una MacBook de 2015 a\u00fan ejecuta la \u00faltima versi\u00f3n de macOS. Mi MacBook Air de 2012, actualizada con SSD, RAM al m\u00e1ximo y bater\u00eda nueva, ejecuta Linux de maravilla. \u00bfLas MacBooks de hoy? Nada se puede actualizar. La bater\u00eda se puede reemplazar, eso es todo. La MacBook Neo de 2026 viene con 8 GB de RAM, utilizables, pero sin margen para futuras ampliaciones, mientras que Apple aumenta la RAM en otros componentes para Apple Intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>   Si Apple dedicara incluso una fracci\u00f3n del esfuerzo invertido en impulsar las actualizaciones del sistema operativo a la reparabilidad, podr\u00edan hacerlo divertido y atractivo, como esas pesta\u00f1as de resorte, las leng\u00fcetas de extracci\u00f3n de la bater\u00eda y los tornillos de mariposa.
